THE LAST TERM BEFORE THE FINAL EXAMS ! ! ! At this stage of your final year of schooling you have a few weeks to go before sitting for your final secondary school examination - HSC etc. and the results will determine your study and career directions for 1998 and beyond. During these weeks a majority of students finally discover that the teachers they have battled with for years are, in reality, their closest allies in this time of need.  The "big picture" at this stage is that the teachers are honestly keen to make sure that you get outstanding results and are willing to devote time to assist you on an individual basis to make sure you have the opportunity to perform at your best. The teachers will not chase you ! you have to realise that you should be revising the work continually and making note of the things you don't know/can't do etc (these are the things you have to ask the teachers for help with). The objective is to learn what you don't know- hopefully before the exam date. A word of warning.  Do not devote your last weeks of school to social issues.  Sacrifice this short amount of time and put in maximum academic effort with the help of the staff.  They will be pleased to help you - Trust me !!
